Beautiful Friendship Masking

I saw a card similar to this on Facebook using the Beautiful Friendship stamp set and loved it so much I CASED it and made my own version.

Base card – White

Middle Layer – Highland Heather

Top Layer – White

Stamp the large rose in Calypso Coral ink and also make a mask with a Post-It-Note by stamping on a Post-It and cutting out the image. Place the mask over the large rose image. Stamp the Double Flower Bud image by inking up the flower with Calypso Coral ink and then inking the stem with Mossy Meadow ink. I found you can do this by using the edge of the ink pad and turning the stamp. Make a mask of this stamp also and place over the stamped images.

Using Granny Apple Green ink up the Double Leaves stamp and stamp around the masked rose image. Ink up the Triple Leaves stamp with Mossy Meadow ink and continue to ink around the masked Large Rose stamped image.

Using Highland Heather ink stamp the Hydrangea stamp while leaving the mask on the large rose image also. Stamp the Foxglove image with Coastal Cabana ink by stamping some images with the full ink and others without re-inking the stamp. Remove the stamp masks and the run the card front through your embossing machine with the Subtle Embossing folder.

Stamp the Happy Birthday sentiment from the Magnolia Blooms stamp set in Highland Heather onto white card and punch out with the Story Label Punch. Punch out another label with Highland Heather card and cut in half horizontally. Glue to the back of the white stamped label so that there is some Highland Heather label showing top and bottom of the front label.

Wrap some Highland Heather organza ribbon around the front card layer and tape into place using sticky tape on the back of the card. Adhere the card layers together. Using dimensionals adhere the sentiment label to the front of the card.

Making the masks is a little bit of work but the results are worth it.
